Evaluate your campaign and make the needed
changes
If you are an advertiser
paying for clicks, the most important thing
to you is driving traffic to your Webshares
page or your own website. You should focus
on making sure your ad is highly targeted to
the most relevant, and appropriate audience.
You should design your destination page to
let users easily find what your ad offers.
If you are an advertiser paying for views
(impressions), the most important thing is to
have users to see your ad. You should focus on
making your ad as clear and informative as
possible and having your brand or company's name
easily recognized.
Target the
audience interested in your ad. Only
target locations that are relevant
for your project, product or service. If your service or event is only available
in a particular area, only target the appropriate
region or city. Remember that
an ad is best received in the countries primary language.
Use keywords to
narrow the audience of your ad to people who
share interest that
correlate with your ad. Include your
keywords in your ad text to show users that
your ad relates to the people you are trying
to reach.
Use clear and concise
ad copy, that speaks
directly to your audience. Highlight special
offers and
unique features. Whatever your goal (brand/company name recognition),
use the name in the ad title, catch-phase or
in the body of the ad.
Create simple, easy to read ads.
No long sentences or complex
structure. Use spell and grammer check to
ensure, proper punctuation, complete sentences and
correct language.
Avoid trying
to put detail in your ad. Remember your ad
only needs to provide the basic attention
getting info. Let your destination page
provide the details
A call-to-action
prompts the users to click on your ad. It
should communicate the benefits of your
project, product or service and direct your
user to: act now, browse, buy, click here,
sign up, etc. and move them to your
destination page.
Put an
attractive, relevant image in your ad that
is appropriate for the product or service
being advertised. The maximum image size is
110 pixels wide by 80 pixels tall, so text
in images that are shrunk down to that size
may be hard to read.
Your ad should
direct users to the most relevant
destination page. When a Webshares user clicks on your
ad, they should immediately be taken to a
page that is specific to the information,
service or
product in your ad.
Watch your
ad's performance. Your click through rate (CTR)
is an excellent indicator of how
your ads are doing. By checking your account
you can view your
clicks, impressions and average CPC or CPM
activity.
Monitor the essential elements of your ad;
the call-to-action (click thru) and user
completion of the action. If users are not
clicking thru, change your call-to-action.
If users are not completing the action, try
a different “pitch”. Obviously the success
of an ad campaign depends on constant review
and a process of trial and error.
